The grand premiere night of Karan Johar’s Bigg Boss OTT was definitely high on a dose of entertainment. Right from power-packed performances to locking horns with each other on the first day, the reality show as all expected kept viewers on the edge of their seats. It began with a smashing performance by KJO, after which he introduced all the contestants and also made their connections under a new theme called ‘Stay Connected.’

Shamita Shetty’s entry
All the eyes were on Shilpa Shetty’s sister Shamita Shetty’s entry amidst the controversy that involves her brother-in-law Raj Kundra. Her entry came as a surprise as she was a part of Bigg Boss Season 3. She had opted out of the show to attend her sister Shilpa Shetty’s wedding at the time. Her entry comes weeks after her brother-in-law Raj Kundra was arrested for allegedly creating and distributing pornographic videos via mobile apps. Shamita told host Karan Johar that she was in two minds about taking part in Bigg Boss OTT as “a lot happened recently" in her life.
Pratik Sehajpal’s heated arguments
Pratik Sehajpal’s blunt statements and arguments with few contestants have already got him the tag of Angry Man of the house. Soon after his entry, he got into an argument with Zeeshan Khan. This was followed by more heated discussions with Shamita Shetty as she offended him by saying he has Korean influence. He had a few arguments with other contestants, including Divya Agarwal.
Stay Connected theme
This time, the makers of Bigg Boss OTT have introduced a theme called ‘Stay Connected’. This requires the contestants to remain in a pair through the season, and if the connection breaks at any point then both the contestants in the pair have to bid goodbye to the show. And, it would be quite interesting to see contestants as connections.
Divya Agarwal Becomes the first nominated contestant
Divya Agarwal was the last contestant to enter the Bigg Boss OTT house as she could not forge a connection. As a result, she got nominated for eviction which will take place next week.
Besides these, Malaika Arora’s sizzling moves on the stage and Karan Johar’s great sense of humour and wit were also among the highlights of the premiere night.
